Meeting Background
By 2025 solar is expected to have the highest global annual capacity added of all energy sources, reaching over 100 Gigawatt (GW) capacity added per year.
 
Dual Glass module has high efficiency, high reliability, high fire rating, high ML capacity, low cost, and it is more suitable for high temperature and high humidity and salt mist, acid and alkali areas because of its excellent performance, wihch can contribute a lot to global solar capacity. Currently, the highest dual glass based encapsulant film market share is EVA, which has advantages of low melting point, good fluidity, high transparency and mature laminating process. However, due to the low strength of EVA film, the water vapor permeability and water absorption rate are large, and in the normal use process, there will still be water vapor transmission, resulting in film atomization, affecting transmittance, reduce the power generation of module. Is there any innovation for PV module encapsulant film? What are the requirements for encapsulant film in double glass modules? What are the results of combined stress test based on various encapsulant materials?
 
PV Dual-glass Module and Encapsulant Materials Seminar will be held on October 12 in Taizhou, Jiangsu, organized by SEMI, co-organized by Jolywood, cooperated by Borealis and Borouge. This seminar will share encapsulant technology and invite several companies to discuss market development and trend for dual glass modules.
