Knowledge and experience of FW/HW development is a plus
Good writing skill highly desirable
Ability to identify and solve problems by a combination of analytical thinking and hands-on experimentation
Preference would be given to candidates who have prior hands-on knowledge in wireless protocols and development of software over real-time OS (VxWorks, embedded Linux) inside wireless

Work closely with development engineering (hardware, product engineer, system engineering) to develop complex mechanical housings and specifications for carrier grade outdoor wireless base station products.
Involves all phase of mechanical design activities including layout, modeling, detailing, tolerance analysis.
Design solutions for complex outdoor weatherproof product housing RF electronics and antennas.
Design solution conformance with various environmental requirements (IP/NEMA, MIL-STD 810F, IEC60068, IEC60529).
Design for manufacturing and design for assembly required.
Thermal design & analysis, structural, EMI, quality requirements, and verification.
Statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning.
Metal and plastic tooling, mock-up making, prototyping, evaluation and debugging.
To design, prototyping, and evaluate to qualify mechanical design so that it can meet specified requirements against outdoor usage, including wind loading effects, corrosion resistance, UV radiation.
Design and implementation of various mounting assemblies for outdoor base station and accessories (eg, antenna), for applications that involve both indoor and outdoor scenarios. |
